The Rafa Nadal Academy Camp is held at the prestigious Hotchkiss School. Founded in 1891, Hotchkiss boasts some of the finest athletic facilities in New England. The Forrest E. Mars Jr. Athletic Center, encompassing 212,000 square feet, includes a field house, multi-lane swimming pool, NHL-sized ice hockey rinks, squash courts, basketball courts, wrestling rooms and an award-winning golf course. Tennis facilities consist of 15 all-weather outdoor courts as well as a beautiful indoor facility with three newly resurfaced, permanent hard courts as well as a tennis pavilion and indoor viewing area.

Rafa Nadal Academy Camp

Youth players from 9 to 18 train with the official Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar training staff to improve their game and maximize their potential through the Rafa Nadal Methodology during the high performance summer tennis camps. Players also learn about the positive values Rafa transmits both on and off the court, setting an example for not just players, but for entire communities. The 6-day camp consists of training with unique access to the Academy’s training philosophy. Players will experience how to play modern & creative tennis – an attractive, technically/tactically-skilled, forward-playing game. The camps are open to all levels except beginners. Beginners are welcome to register in our private lessons. Players will be grouped by age and skill level so that every participant is challenged.

» A total of 38 hours of activities distributed as follows:

  • 10 hours of tennis training.
  • 5 hours of learn to compete activities.
  • 6 hours of athletes performance training.
  • 6 hours of racket skills.
  • 5 hours of Building a Champion.
  • One Junior player from each camp is awarded a full scholarship to train for a week in Mallorca

Adult Tennis Clinics

The adult tennis clinics in Connecticut are designed to help players excel in their league, tournament, and club competitions. Players train with Rafa Nadal’s official training staff using Rafa Nadal methodology.

Sessions are 2 hours per day, from 4 -6 or 6 – 8 with a focus on technique, tactics, mindset, and performance, and each day will focus on a different aspect of the game and have its own particular theme so that you can pick and choose which area of your game you wish to improve.
The training goes from improving minor aspects of play to focus on strategic play and competing at a championship level. Although our clinics are open, we require a minimum skill level based on USTA standings. Please specify your level of play in our registration form so that the organization can group players accordingly. Please note that during the first training session players may be moved around by the Rafa Nadal Academy Head Coach based on their real level and/or the group distribution requirements. Beginners are welcome to register in our private lessons, for more information please contact us.

All of our carefully selected coaches have been trained by the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar and are experts in every aspect of the Rafa Nadal Academy methods. Coaches travel from Spain to coach the players. In addition, many coaches have coached and played at the highest level in the US and are familiar with US tennis and junior tour and NCAA competition standards.

Reduced Groups

To ensure the best quality training environment each court will be supervised by one Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar coach with a maximum of four players per court. In this way we can ensure that players get as much attention as possible. Sessions address player specific goals established by the player and coach and the low coach to player ratio allows us to optimize learning and improvement in every aspect of the game.
